MADRID – June 10th, 2024Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digital native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technological solutions, has today announced the launch of a new Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence applied to Marketing, Communication, and Media, alongside  Complutense University of Madrid. This program is created in collaboration with Globant and Empower Talent, aiming to provide marketing and communication professionals with the tools to understand and apply a technology that is revolutionizing all professional sectors worldwide.

The tech company becomes the first to participate in a specialized degree in Artificial Intelligence applied to marketing and communication in collaboration with a public university in Spain. With this launch, both entities are bringing all their expertise and knowledge to the service of education and training in new digital tools, one of the great challenges of today's job market.

This new degree has been created by the University Complutense of Madrid with the aim of training professionals from both the sector and other industries who seek to specialize in marketing technology (known as "MarTech"). It will last for six months, starting on November 8 of this year. The course will be directed by María Pilar Cousido González, Associate Professor of Constitutional Law/Information Law at the Complutense University of Madrid, and Pablo Monge, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Globant. It will feature five different modules delivered in an executive format, and to facilitate work-life balance, classes will be available via both in-person and online formats.

Thanks to this collaboration, students will be able to enroll in an educational program that delves into the applications of artificial intelligence in media, as well as in the sector at large. They will gain the knowledge and skills to make good use of new technologies and harness the full potential of this tool in optimizing communication strategies, creating content, and improving the experience with digital media.

"We are proud to be part of this master's degree in Artificial Intelligence in the field of marketing and media. We are confident that it will be of great use to professionals in the communication sector, who have seen how these tools have been integrated into their daily work. At Globant, we continue to invest in training teams in digital skills, regardless of their area of expertise, helping them grow professionally and reinvent themselves, thereby bringing new knowledge to the industry," said Pablo Monge, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Globant.

"The Complutense University of Madrid considers the development of such programs as one of its main strategic lines, which respond to the educational needs demanded by companies to cover new professional profiles, thus reducing the gap between university and industry. As a public university, we have a strong commitment to improving employability and educational innovation, collaborating with the best professionals in each field, such as Globant and Empower Talent," said María Concepción García Gómez, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education, Employability, and Entrepreneurship at the Complutense University of Madrid.

"After five years of transferring knowledge about Artificial Intelligence to society through seminars, congresses, and internationally recognized programs, the time has come to take a major step forward by offering pioneering and robust inductive training to professional and institutional leaders. It is up to them to place our country among the world's powers in the use of AI in marketing, communication, and media. We take on the responsibility of training them, with outstanding and proven speakers. It's time," said Pilar Cousido González, Associate Professor of Constitutional Law/Information Law at the Complutense University of Madrid.
