Globant was recognized in Fortune´s top 50

In its seventh “Change the World” Ranking, Fortune highlighted Code Your Future as an initiative that helps solve social problems regarding education and the digital talent gap.

SAN FRANCISCO – November 17, 2022 - Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, announced today that it was ranked amongst Fortune's top 50 in the “Change the World” Ranking for its Code your Future initiative.

Fortune’s Change the World list acknowledges companies that face challenges that appear every day, such as climate change, racial inequalities, and the lack of economic opportunities, with actions that aim to create a positive social impact.

“As the demand for digital talent rises, we acknowledge that we have an enormous opportunity to include in the industry those communities that have been historically excluded,” said Martín Migoya, CEO and Co-founder of Globant. “Through initiatives such as Code your Future, we are using technology as a tool to create a plurality of training for the most varied profiles, so they can access better opportunities for their professional development. Fortune's “Change the World” recognition fills us with joy and pride and shows us that we are on the right track.”

Code Your Future originated in 2019 as Globant's scholarship and free formation program for people to study technology. Today, this program creates  opportunities to train diverse talent at Globant. As part of Code Your Future, Globant collaborates with educational institutions by offering scholarships in Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Peru.

Within just three years, Globant has impacted more than 6,500 people through training and education, awarding more than 3,500 scholarships, of which more than 2,000 were for women. There have been 2,253 graduates of Code Your Future’s scholarships since 2019, of which 42% identify as women, and 25% went on to work for Globant, while the others pursued various opportunities in the technology sector.

“We are incredibly proud to have been included by Fortune Magazine in their 2022 Change the World Ranking. Within our Be Kind public commitment, we announced to award 15,000 scholarships within Code Your Future by 2025,” said Patricia Pomies, Chief Operating Officer at Globant. “We are convinced that technology offers endless opportunities to transform the future of our communities and the world.”

In 2022, Globant launched a new edition of the program, Code your Future: Construye Paz, in alliance with the High Council for Peace, Victims, and Reconciliation of the Mayor's Office of Bogotá. This initiative aims to create education, employability, and inspiration opportunities for the population affected by Colombia’s internal armed conflict. The initiative also applies to communities linked to the country's peacebuilding process and residing in Bogotá.

The company’s Be Kind Initiative is a global ESG strategy that unites positive impact programs for all of its main stakeholders and consolidates initiatives to tackle critical issues, such as DEI, climate change, and ethics in AI, among others.
